My experience in fishing reels started in the early 80's as an apprentice at Shimano®, and Daiwa®. I started servicing reels in my own shop two decades ago. I’ve always worked with my hands and draw a lot of satisfaction for making things work well. |
I’ve loved fishing for as long as I can remember. Been a LifeTime Member of B.A.S.S. (Bass Angler Sportman Society), and NFC (North American Fishing Club), since the 80's. |

I wanted to take this space to express my sincere
appreciation to all of you have who have entrusted your business and
your valuable fishing tools to me over the past years. That's how I look at fishing reels and rods, as
precision tools. Like any good tool, they require periodic maintenance
in order to operate at their fullest potential.

All reel work is done on a first come, first served basis.
I try to keep my shop turnaround time at
a minimum. Normally, I try to keep it at a week or less. However please
be aware that the late winter “fishing off-season” to the early spring is my busiest time.
This starts about Febuary and continues until April. The shop
turnaround time will get longer during this busy period. So if
you need your reels returned to you by a specific time, please get them
in early. Please
don’t wait until mid-February if you need your reels back by March 1st
and expect them to get done on time. Sorry, but it isn’t going to
happen. Like I've said to many of my customers. Every reel is treated as if it were my own. Your reels will be returned to you in top notch condition so that
it's ready to haul in that next lunker fish. I will do my very best to
serve you as quickly as possible and to make you happy you chose
The Reel Mechanic. I offer professional reel service along with a few
fine fishing products I truly believe in and use. I service/repair Shimano,
Daiwa, Abu Garcia, Quantum, baitcasting and some spinning reels.
I would encourage you to explore this site more and learn why we are dedicated to "The Care and Maintance Of Fishing Tackle".
